As if we needed any more reasons to be absolutely in love with firemen as a whole. They are such a sensitive and caring breed of emergency responder. You might imagine that working in an industry based around seeing people on their worst days would make a person tough and cold to the world. But the more stories we hear about these brave firemen and women, the more apparent it is that they have a heart that just never stops giving. Making this cat’s choice of location a very fortunate one indeed.

Oh you had better believe that our thoughts and the commenters who came across this post’s thoughts were wholly pawsitive. Who would not want to see a tiny firehouse kitten get adopted by one of the gentle and generous firefighters who call the station home. In itself it is a Hallmark movie worthy story. And as you might remember from the title of this story, there is a whole lot more good waiting for this kitty than just a furever home. Which to be fair is pretty legendary in itself.

You might have heard of babies being dropped off at firehouses, but have you ever come across a feline baby dropping itself off at a firehouse? Well, this story tells just that sort of tale, and let us tell you it only gets more wholesome from here on in.
Cat rescues are usually full of drama, but the story we are proud to present you with today has to be one of the sweetest, kindest and wholesome feline encounters we have had the pleasure of sharing with you. For after coming in off the street mangled and in pain this cute kitten was scooped up by the fire station's resident firefighter/large animal vet who patched up the poor kitten, ensuring it would not suffer any longer. But that was not enough, as the fire crew decided that this kitten deserved a home, even if it was only the firehouse, and so the firehouse got a firehouse kitty.
All was happy, wholesome and heartwarming, that is until one of the fabulous firefighters who calls the station home decided that this kitten deserved more than an emergency response centre as its home. And that is how our story begins. From here the wholesomeness just gets right out of hand, so hold onto your hats and hearts as you read about the kitten who had nothing before entering the fire station and left with everything.
